This free crochet scarf pattern is perfect if you’re just starting or want a relaxing project. It features a simple one-row repeat stitch that’s beginner-friendly, so you can work on it while watching TV or chatting with friends. Despite being so easy to make, the finished result is stunning.

I chose DK lightweight yarn for this project, and I’m so glad I did. The yarn is super soft, lightweight, and creates this gorgeous drape. If you prefer a slightly more substantial feel, medium-weight yarn works beautifully too. Either choice will give you a chic accessory that works up quickly and gets tons of compliments.

Row 5 -124: Rep Rows 3-4. At the end of Row 124, CH1, turn.

Row 125: SC in each ST across place 3 SC in each CH3 space. (46)

Do not fasten off; proceed to crochet the border.

Step 2- Crochet the border

To crochet the border, you will alternate SL ST and 4 HDC and place them evenly around the scarf, making sure you place 4 HDC groups in each corner.

With the yarn still on your hook, [*4 HDC in next row, SL ST in next row*, rep *to* to corner, 4 HDC in the corner, *skip next ST, SL ST in next ST, skip next ST, 4 HDC in next ST*, rep *to* to corner, 4 HDC in the corner], rep [to] one more time. Join with a SL ST into the 1st ST.

Fasten off, weave in ends, and you are all done!

I signed up for the pattern this morning, still have not received it. The pattern is $4.99 on Ravelry. It’s too bad – I like the scarf. I could not find any contact address so I was wondering if anyone else has the same issue.
