How This Crochet Lacy Sweater Is Constructed
The Charlotte Sweater is super simple to make! You’ll start by crocheting two panels in rows and shaping the neckline. Then, you’ll join the panels at the shoulders.
Next, the sleeves are crocheted directly from the panels, working in rows—no increases or decreases needed. To finish, you’ll sew the sleeves closed and seam the sides and underarms. Don’t worry—the seams are barely noticeable!
Finally, the neckline, sleeves, and bottom edge are finished with a delicate border that gives the sweater a clean, polished, and feminine touch.
I used a gorgeous lace stitch that’s easy to get the hang of after just a few rows. Plus, the pattern includes detailed step-by-step instructions and a high-quality progress photo tutorial to guide you every step of the way.

Sizes and fit
The Charlotte Sweater is designed to fit a wide range of sizes, from XS to 5XL, with bust sizes from 32 to 62 inches. Each size has been thoroughly tested to ensure it’s flattering and comfortable for everyone.
I know everyone’s body is different, so I’ve included stitch counts for the repeat and detailed instructions to help you customize the fit just how you want it. Whether you stick to the pattern or add your little changes, I’m confident you’ll create a sweater that fits you perfectly.
And the best part? You can use this pattern to make all kinds of crochet projects, too! Picture this beautiful lace design as a summer dress, a lacy scarf, a stylish cardigan, or a lovely curtain (like my mom said :)). The possibilities are endless, and I can’t wait to see all the gorgeous projects you create with this pattern!

Yarn Recommendations for a Light Crochet Lacy Sweater
For my Charlotte Sweater, I used Caron Cotton Ripple Cakes, a #3 lightweight cotton yarn, and it worked beautifully for this design! It created a soft, breathable fabric that’s perfect for warmer days.
The yarn feels soft and has a lovely texture, giving the sweater a nice drape and making it comfy to wear. It’s also smooth and easy to crochet with.
If you’re looking for other great options, #3 weight yarns like Lion Brand 24/7 DK, Paintbox Cotton DK, and Rico Creative Cotton Stripes DK are also fantastic choices for the Charlotte Sweater. Each has its own unique texture and drape, but all will work with the design perfectly.
