Today, I’m sharing one of my absolute favorite stitches – the crochet waffle V stitch! This gorgeous stitch has been a staple in many of my designs, including the popular Coco Knot Bag, Lilah Sweater, and my latest cozy creation, the Chestnut Throw. If you love stitches that look intricate but are surprisingly simple, you’re going to adore this one!
What I Love About the crochet Waffle V Stitch
The Waffle V Stitch is one of those stitches that instantly makes any simple crochet project look amazing! It has a cool three-dimensional look, a gorgeous texture, and best of all—it’s reversible (so it looks great from both sides!). I love how it adds depth and warmth, whether I’m making a cozy blanket, a cute bag, or a comfy sweater.
But the best part? It’s just a simple one-row repeat! Once you get the hang of it, you can crochet away without even thinking—perfect for those cozy evenings with your favorite show.
I’ve used this stitch for bags, blankets, scarves, and more, and it always turns out beautiful. I can’t wait for you to try it too! Let’s jump into the free pattern and get stitching!
