Yarn needed for this free crochet Coaster and Holder Set
To make this charming set, you can use any #4 medium-weight cotton yarn. If you’re like me and love thick, textured coasters, go for a sturdy cotton yarn like Lily Sugar’n Cream or something similar. These yarns will give your coasters and holder more structure and a nice, firm feel.
Other cotton yarns like Hobby Lobby I Love This Cotton or Paintbox Cotton Aran will also work beautifully, but keep in mind they’re softer and won’t provide the same firmness as sturdier yarns like Lily Sugar’n Cream.

Hello, I don’t understand the 10 after the color changes and there are also not numbers of stitches at the end of the rows for a count.
Hi Cindy! The number at the end of each row indicates your stitch count for that row. However, when you see something like : 10 (2 HDC, CH 1, 2 HDC) at the end of the row, it means you should have 10 groups of (2 HDC, CH 1, 2 HDC).
went through so many similar crochet patterns for coasters but yours was the only one easy to understand and apply it was also one the fastest
Aww, thank you so much, Eva! I’m thrilled to hear that the coaster pattern was easy to follow and quick to make. Happy crocheting!💕
Hi Assia! Love this pattern. Could you tell me the meaning of the asterisks?
Hi Ayla, the asterisks mark the start and end of the repeat. Rep *to* means: repeat the instructions between the asterisks.
