Discover the Ambrosia free crochet washcloth pattern with a delicate lacy border. Made with soft cotton yarn, this easy pattern creates elegant washcloths perfect for spa gift sets, Mother’s Day, or craft fairs. A fan-favorite design that’s simple to make and beautiful to gift!

I’m so excited to finally share my Ambrosia free crochet washcloth pattern with you! This gorgeous pattern has been a best-seller and a fan favorite at The Crochet Village since I released it years ago.
It’s a pretty crochet washcloth with a lacy border you’ll love to crochet, use, sell, and gift. It’s wonderfully soft, easy to make, and finished with a charming lacy border that adds just the right touch of elegance.
This pattern has become my go-to for quick, beautiful handmade gifts. When I need something special for Mother’s Day, birthdays, or Christmas, I crochet three small washcloths and one matching towel, add a lovely bar of handmade soap, wrap everything with a ribbon, and instantly have a charming crochet spa gift set that everyone loves.

Best Yarn for Soft, Elegant Crochet Washcloths
Made with soft cotton yarn, these washcloths are not only practical for everyday use but also feel wonderful against your skin. For the best results, I recommend using a soft worsted-weight cotton yarn. Try to avoid stiff cotton yarns like Lily Sugar’n Cream, as the lacy border doesn’t drape as nicely and the finished washcloth may feel a bit firm.

For my Ambrosia washcloth, I used I Love This Cotton yarn from Hobby Lobby, and I couldn’t be happier with it! It’s incredibly soft and comes in a stunning selection of colors. If you’re looking for more options, Paintbox Cotton Aran is another fantastic choice—it offers great quality and a beautiful color range to match any style.
In this blog, you’ll find everything you need to make your Ambrosia washcloth. The matching towel is available in the paid version only, which also includes printable wraps for easy gifting. These are the kind of handmade pieces you’ll feel proud to gift, sell at craft fairs, or include in thoughtful handmade spa sets.
