Special Stitches
- Reverse single crochet RSC: Insert the hook to the right into the next ST, YO, and draw the loop back to the front, YO again, and draw that loop through the two loops already on the hook. That’s one RSC. Watch here

Crochet the soap bag
- The soap bag is crocheted in rounds, but you will change direction after joining each round, working back and forth from the starting stitch.
- At the end of each round, turn your work—you’ll crochet one round on the right side, then the next on the wrong side.
- Use a stitch marker to keep track of the beginning of each round.
CH 15 to make a foundation chain
Rnd 1:
- 2 SC in the 2nd CH from the hook, SC in the next 12 CH, 3 SC in the last CH. Work into one loop only of each chain. We’ll use the other loop in the next step. (17 SC)
- Continue crocheting along the other side of the chains, working into the unused loops. SC in the next 12 CH (crochet over the tail to hide it), SC in the last CH that already has 2 SC, join with a SL ST into the 1st SC, CH 1. (13 SC)
Rnd 2: (RS) Insert hook in same ST as SL ST, pull up a loop, SK next ST, insert hook in next ST, pull up a loop, YO, pull through all 3 loops, CH 1,* insert hook in last worked ST, pull up a loop, SK next ST, insert hook in next ST, pull up a loop, YO, pull through all 3 loops, CH 1,* rep *to* around, join with a SL ST into the 1st ST, CH1, turn. (30 ST- CH1 count as a ST)
Rnd 3: (WS) Insert hook in the 1st CH-1 sp, pull up a loop, SK next ST, insert hook in next CH-1 sp, pull up a loop, YO pull through all 3 loops, CH 1,* insert hook in last CH-1 sp, pull up a loop, SK next ST, insert hook in next CH-1 sp, pull up a loop, YO, pull through all 3 loops, CH 1* rep *to* around, join with a SL ST into the 1st ST, CH 1, turn. (30 ST- CH1 counts as a ST)
Rnd 4 -13: Rep Rnd 3, turning your work at the end of each Rnd.
Rnd 14: (RS) SC BLO in each ST and CH around, join with a SL ST into the
1st ST, CH 1. Don’t turn your work. (30 ST)
Rnd 15: (RS) SC BLO in every ST around, join with a SL ST CH1.Don’t turn your work. (30 ST)
Rnd 16: *RSC in the next ST, skip next ST,* rep *to* around, finish with a SL ST in the 1st RSC. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Crochet the drawstring: CH 60, secure both ends with a couple of knots, then cut the yarn. Thread the drawstring through Round 15, one cluster at a time.
